Description

Diborane is a colorless gas with unpleasant odor at room temperature and pressure. It is very unstable and slowly breaks down into hydrogen and advanced boranes at room temperature. The higher the temperature, the more unstable it is and the faster the decomposition. The decomposition products also vary with the temperature, at 500℃ completely decomposed into hydrogen and boron. Diborane commodities are usually diluted with nitrogen, argon, helium, or hydrogen. Spontaneous combustion in the air, but in the dry state of room temperature generally does not burn, but as long as the contact with humid air, even at low temperature can occur explosive combustion, green flame.
